I was skimming thought the guide one day and saw a Life on Mars listed on BBCAmerica (which I love to death), became curious, watched it, and found out that it was fantastically & phenomenally awesome.

But anyway, I think that the American adaptation is toned down and tries to add in comedy, rather than let the comedy come through like it does in the original series. Seriously guys, watch the BBC Original series, not the crap American adaptation. The only exception to American adaptations of foreign series that I've seen is probably The Office. Also, I've heard that ABC's Life on Mars keeps much of the script (with obvious changes in order for American audiences to understand) and scene compositions shot-by-shot. So much for an "adaptation", eh? More like a crapped up clone. Plus, John Simm captures DCI Sam Tyler perfectly, and Jason O'Mara's Tyler is a bit out-of-touch from what I've heard. But maybe the show will end up being fantastically & phenomenally awesome! I don't know, maybe I should get around to watching the American version. Well, those are my 2 cents. :D
